You call us and we develop a plan to find the source(s) of mold growth. If source issues are not addressed and properly handled, any issues you have will recur and we don’t want that. Many times, the first step is to do preliminary testing. If you suspect mold to be present, we recommend that our Scope service (described below) be requested with the preliminary testing to avoid an additional site visit fee for follow-up. After testing has been performed and the results have come back from the lab, there are several things we can do:

If the samples come back and there is no mold detected, we will generate a report for you stating that the area(s) are clear and within safe levels. We can investigate further if you would like a deeper dive completed.

If the samples come back “hot” (positive for mold), we can generate what we refer to as a Scope of Work. A Scope of Work is a thorough inspection of the affected areas so we can determine what needs to be done for a proper mold remediation to take place. We perform what is called a moisture check first which allow us to see what is wet. Moisture is a critical component of mold growth which you can learn more about here. After the moisture check is performed, we can use these findings and the other results from our visual inspection to generate a detailed report on what needs to be done to re-mediate the problem(s). This report is what you would give to your remediation contractor to get the job done. We often recommend that if there are noticeable mold concerns present that our Scope service be done requested with the the preliminary testing to avoid an additional site visit fee.
